Frequently asked questions
Bernedoodle: Bernese Mountain Dog & Poodle hybrid- Smart, loyal, easy to train but can be stubborn at times, low-medium energy level, therapy and service dog potential, laid back yet playful.
Australian Mountain Doodle: Australian Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, and Poodle hybrid- Smart, loyal, eager to please, easy to train, medium energy level, therapy and service dog potential, friendly, social and outgoing.
The Bernedoodle is typically a fun, loving, and happy-go-lucky breed. However, Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for being stubborn and this trait can be passed onto their Bernedoodle offspring. Adding the Australian Shepherd into the mix generally makes them a little more eager to please which in turn can help make the training process a little easier. We all know the beloved Bernese breed is known for having health issues and a short lifespan- we hope that by adding the Australian Shepherd it will greatly help longevity.
We love the Bernedoodle breeds and they are perfect in their own ways (for the right people). And while the Australian Mountain Doodle can be a bit of a gamble when working with so many variants and characteristics, we have been thrilled with the outcome we’ve had so far (in terms of temperaments, coat types, colors, and more).
We don’t allow in‑person visits with puppies until they’ve received their first round of vaccinations, which is typically around eight weeks of age when they’re ready to go home. Until then, we’re happy to offer FaceTime visits. Our “facility” is simply our home, where all of our puppies are raised and cared for by our family. Because we are not a pet store with public business hours, we only welcome visitors who are on our waiting list and/ or scheduled for designated visitation days or puppy pick‑ups. Most of our adult dogs live in guardian homes, so they are not always present to be seen during visits. Mother dogs may or may not be available when you arrive to pick up your puppy at eight weeks, as many return to their guardian homes before that time. Visits to meet your chosen puppy can be scheduled once that litter has received its first vaccinations. For the safety of our dogs, young puppies, and our family, we do not offer tours of our home or whelping areas.
Our pricing varies by breed, availability, & breeding rights. Expect pricing to be around $3500-$3800.
The first step is to submit an application. Once it’s reviewed and approved, a member of our team will reach out to you. After all questions have been answered, you can place a deposit of 10% of the puppy’s price to reserve your spot or a specific puppy. This deposit is non‑refundable but can be transferred to another litter or puppy if your preferred choice isn’t available - we’re always willing to work with you. The deposit is applied toward your total balance, and the remaining balance isn’t due until you receive your puppy.
10% of the price of the puppy
All deposits are non-refundable. Once we receive a deposit towards a puppy, we make it a goal to get you a puppy you'll love and be happy with. If you pass on a puppy from the litter you placed a deposit on, we will move you to the next available litter in the order the deposits were received. There is no time limit when the deposit has to be used by.
The health of our sires and dams is pivotal to our breeding program. All of our parent dogs are health tested or in the process of completing their health testing.
We do have a 1-3 Year Health Guarantee (you can view the entire health guarantee on the adoption and guarantee page).
Every puppy will be seen by a licensed veterinarian for their health and wellness check-up. We will provide a digital copy of the pups vaccine & deworming records.
We recommend having your puppy examined by the veterinarian of your choice within the first seven days of bringing them home. You can provide your vet with the health records we’ll send with your puppy, and they’ll advise you on which vaccines are needed next and when they should be given. Your veterinarian can also guide you through the remaining vaccination schedule and any additional care they recommend.
